Comptroller Baba Imam, Customs Area Controller in charge of Rivers Area II Command, Onne has exceeded the Command’s monthly revenue target for the month of October, 2023 collecting N38 billion, with over N10 billion above the N28 billion target of October and N44 billion increase from the Command’s last year revenue earning. The CAC also successfully hosted the Customs Officers Wives Association’s (COWA) National President, the wife of the Comptroller General, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi in his Area command.

The star customs officer on his arrival in January 2023 did assure men and officers of the Area II command that he would operate in tandem with laid down procedure and promised to do more than met on ground.

On arrival he solicited the support and corporation of men and officers of the Command and promised to improve on structures left behind by his predecessor, Assistant Comptroller General, Auwal Mohammed.

Comptroller Imam promptly initiated strategies that would enhance the performance of men and officers of the command. He built a conference room that serves a dual purpose for the officers and men of the command and stakeholders as well as a training and meeting centre.

Comptroller Imam initiated a monthly reward system called value added to appreciate deserving officers on merit of their effort in revenue collection.

As a way of encouraging men and officers of the Command who have contributed professionally adding value to the revenue generation of the command with great input to the custom guideline and regulations of the Federal Government fiscal policy are rewarded every month.
