The 47 ministerial lists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is reminiscence of the list of his predecessor in office, former President Mohammadu Buhari that ended up a disaster for eight years thereby making the list hypocritical

Senate President of the 10th Assembly, Senator Godswill Akpabio is apt definition of devil’s advocate.  The way and manner he shielded the ministers’ designate from answering probing questions was legendary and is a pointer to the kind of ministers that would govern with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu if the judiciary upholds the election of Tinubu.

For instance, information made available to this medium revealed that ministerial nominees like Nysome Wike, Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, are politicians that cannot be trusted with what they say.  Before his nomination as minister, Wike in a spiral social media video described the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC as cancerous party to wit: “I would rather stay with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP that has malaria than associate myself with APC that is cancerous”.  Months after that statement the unreliable former governor of Rivers State is back to his vomit by telling whoever cares to listen that APC is the best thing that has happened to the country.  The same wike said that he would not support any candidate that says he would continue with the disaster called the eight years of former President Mohammadu Buhari.   Few months down the line, the same Wike is all over Tinubu who had at different fora said that he would continue with the policies of his predecessor.

Many pundits are of the opinion that if somebody like Wike who says something today and changes tomorrow would be given such an assignment as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the era of non performance as witnessed in the immediate past administration of Buhari is back in the country.   These pundits observed that in the eight years of Buhari administration credible performance took flight and the aircraft is still waiting for the people assembled by Tinubu.

El-Rufai who claimed to be patriotic has been seen in a viral video bloating that Islam is poised to take over the entire country.  His stand on the islamisation of the country found expression in the way he handled governance in Kaduna State as governor for eight years.  An informed source revealed that in the eight years of the former governor of Kaduna State, the southern Kaduna that is predominately Christians remained a killing field for the herdsmen, bandits and Boko Haram without any consequences.

Another ministerial nominee that never lived up to expectation is Senator Dave Umeahi, immediate past governor of Ebonyi State.  Information at the disposal of this medium revealed that some of the taunted infrastructure he wrought in the state for the past eight years is shadows of itself because of misplaced priority.  For instance, the airport he built, apart from the inaugural flight at the commissioning of the airport, no aircraft has land at the airport since its commissioning.  His eight years as the governor of the state was reminiscence of the dark days of the military where opposition must be destroyed at all cost.  Many souls allegedly fell under his despotic tendencies without consequences.

Majority of the ministerial nominees are associated with the razzmatazz of phonetic English that is not likely to produce any results beyond the rhythm of their intonation at the hallowed chambers of the Nigerian Senate.  Rhetoric statements were the order of the day amongst the ministers designate who believed that performance is a scarce commodity in the nation, therefore should not bother themselves with that.

Some of the ministerial nomine could not defend what is written in their personal data, some, their age does not rhyme with their academic qualification, and all that the Senate President, Akpabio could say in all nominees whose documentation could not add up is that the person who decided to nominate them knows that they are qualified in the first place, therefore it is not the duty of the House to dictate who is not qualified.

Most of the respondents in the course of filing this report were unanimous in saying that nothing good would come out of the nominees who are just in the corridors of power to line their pockets without remorse.
