The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), the body of journalists covering the nation’s shipping and international trading concludes plan to host a breakfast meeting to discuss issues affecting the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry
The body of journalists covering the maritime business sector under the umbrella of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), has formally invited stakeholders to the July edition of its monthly Breakfast Meeting.
The forum where stakeholders in the industry gather to discuss vital issues that shape the sector, is scheduled to hold on July 24, 2024 at the Rockview Hotel, Apapa Lagos.
A statement signed by MARAN President, Mr Godfrey Bibvere, said the theme of the breakfast meeting: Trade Facilitation and President Tinubu’s Economic Agenda: Matters Arising; became germane and it is also intended to educate the public on contributions of trade to the development of the nation’s economy.
The Breakfast meeting is expected to be attended by Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, other chief executives of government agencies and critical stakeholders in the industry to brainstorm on Trade Facilitation with a view to proffering solutions to the challenges.
Other dignitaries expected at the Breakfast meeting include ship owners, freight forwarders, President General of Maritime workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Adewale Adeyanju and other stakeholders in the marine and Blue Economy sector.
