The Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has gotten it right once more by appointing a vibrant, energetic and Young Nigerian Engineer Jennifer Uzima Adighije as the New Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Niger Delta Power Holdings Company (NDPHC).

Adighije is an engineer with cognate experience in different functions across the private and public sectors.

Her brief is saddled with the responsibility of Building the infrastructure to tackle power failure in Nigeria with many power plant projects scattered all over the country.

Engineer Adighije’s impeccable cutting-edge value added services at Globacom was commended by many. She headed the Project Management office at Helios Towels Nig. before joining the Central Bank of Nigeria at the managerial level in the procurement department where she handled value engineering and cost control at the apex bank’s capital projects.

She is a social engineering advocate and a committed Humanitarian personality, and serves as a patron of Digi Tech Empowerment Foundation for Youths. She dedicated her time and resources to fostering digital inclusion by building gaps for digitally vulnerable youths.

Engr. Adighije works very hard to make sure that young boys and girls who are enthusiastic about Technology development are provided necessary hardware, software including tools for skills acquisition and commercialization of their talents.

All this Youth-target entrepreneur development for self-sustainability is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda on youth independence and to make Nigeria an exporter of Technical talents.

Her footprints in the various places where she has worked speak volume of the ability and capabilities of a successful career woman. Hence, many said that Engr. Adighije’s appointment is well deserved.

The amazon Adighije is a role model for the Nigerian youths who holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the University of Lagos and Masters in Telecommunication Engineering (with Distinction) from Queen Mary University of London. She has attended many courses at the London School of Economics and Political Science also doing her Doctoral Study at the Catholic University of Spain.

She is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, a registered COREN Practitioner and a life member of the Rotary Club.
