In the spirit of inter-agency collaboration, Commissioner of Police, Toyin Agbaminoja visits Port Manager, receives President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) while continuing her familiarization tour to the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal of the Nigeria Customs Service

In continuation of her strategic engagements with sister agencies, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Ports Authority Police Command, Toyin Agbaminoja has visited key stakeholders in the maritime sector to strengthen collaboration, improve security and enhance operational synergy at the nation’s ports.
On Monday, November 3, 2025, Agbaminoja paid a courtesy visit to the Port Manager, Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Apapa, Mr. Adebowale Lawal, where their discussions centered on deepening the existing partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Ports Authority towards ensuring a safe and secure port environment conducive for trade facilitation.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Isaac Hundeyin, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, Apapa, Lagos, the Commissioner also received President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi and his entourage at the Command Headquarters on the same day.
The visit provided an avenue for robust discussions on enhancing mutual understanding between the Police and the maritime workforce, promoting industrial harmony, and ensuring the security and welfare of maritime workers across port terminals under the Command’s jurisdiction.
Continuing her familiarization tour, Agbaminoja also visited the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, where she was received by Comptroller E.J. Edelduok and her management team.
During the visit, the Commissioner also engaged with officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as well as representatives of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) and the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA).
The interactive session focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, improving intelligence sharing, and fostering stakeholder cooperation to tackle emerging security challenges and enhance port efficiency.
Agbaminoja equally reaffirmed the commitment of the Ports Authority Police (Western) Command to maintaining high standards of professionalism, intelligence-led policing and sustained collaboration with all port stakeholders to promote safety, peace, and efficient service delivery within the nation’s maritime domain.
