Kelga Local Government boss calls for community vigilance against electricity vandals

Chairman, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Honorable Charles Wobodo has called on Ozuaha, Omademe and Ipo communities to strengthen their security architecture to protect the reconstruction of electricity in the areas.
Wobodo stated this at the flag-off of second phase of the electricity reconnection project. He urged the communities to constitute light committee to manage the payments of the electricity bills.
He warned against vandalism or any act that would hamper the completion of the project.
Also, speaking, the Chairman, RIWAMA, Honorable, Samuel Nwanosike commended honorable Charles Wobodo for surpassing expectations within 100 days in office.
He urged the Community Development Chairman’s (CDCs) chiefs, and the youths in the area to protect the facility, while emphasizing importance of INEC registration to return President Bola Ahmed Tunibu in 2027.
Earlier, the Omademe/Ipo councilor, honorable Kachi Wonodi, thanked the Chairman for reconnecting the communities, regretted absence of electricity in the area for 10 years.
CDC, Omademe, Dr. Cyprian Amaechi, said the reconnection of the communities would restore dignity and bring development. In their separate speeches, the Chairman Omademe council of chiefs, and honorable Chief Chimene Amadi thanked Wobodo and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) State woman leader honorable Mirrian Ogbonna thanked KELGA Chairman for wiping away tears from the faces of the people.
Meanwhile, state Assembly member of Ikwerre constituency, honorable Lemchi Nyeche posited he has attracted projects to his constituents.
He called on Ikwerre people to support the Renewed Hope Agenda, and policies of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.
