The Tincan Island Area Command of the Nigeria Customs, Lagos, records a whopping N120.4 billion revenue generation in February, 2026, which represents a huge increase over its February 2025 record

In its revenue generation drive for the year 2026, the Tincan Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) said it has recorded a quantum leap in revenue collection for the month of February 2026 over what it collected in February 2025. The Command disclose that it generated a total sum of N120.462 billion in February this year which represents a clear leap from N103.612 billion revenue it recorded in February 2025.
The Command also said that the revenue leap reflected a robust year-on-year growth of over ₦16.8 billion, further cementing the Command’s status as a major revenue earned for the Service after the premier port Command in Apapa.
By virtue of this achievement, stakeholders insist that Comptroller Frank Onyeka, the Customs Area Controller (CAC) has demonstrated rare capacity to lead the Command by being proactive in introducing fresh strategies to revenue generation, stakeholder engagement, trade facilitation and anti-smuggling efforts all aimed at achieving tangible outcome.
Available statistics indicate that since Comptroller Onyeka mounted the saddle as the CAC of Tincan Island Command, he has demonstrated a firm commitment to blocking revenue leakages, enhancing compliance, and fostering synergy with the trading community.
Under his watch, the Command has intensified the use of technology-driven monitoring mechanisms and improved cargo clearance efficiency—measures that have collectively boosted transparency and productivity. His engagement with stakeholders, including freight forwarders and importers, has also helped build trust and encouraged voluntary compliance.
