Meanwhile, the suspended Rivers State governor Siminalyi Fubara has described as a fake, malicious and imaginary, a flurry of videos of purported explosions on oil and gas facilities in Rivers State being lined to him.
Fubara in a statement made available to the press stated that virtually all the fake videos have been liked to alleged militant groups in the state, with the creators of such content trying very hard to connect them to him and his supporters.
He adds that the communities where the incident were alleged to have occurred have reacted, dismissing any claims of explosions on oil and gas facilities in their domains and reassuring that all critical government assets within their areas are safe, secure and efficiently function.
Fubara further warned those he described as purveyors of violence and economic sabotage to steer clear of the state and avoid any attempt to use his name or capitalize on the present political crisis to forment trouble in the state.
The Rivers State governor wants security agencies to take note of the fake videos described to misinform the people and further paint the state in bad light, and take necessary steps to contain them and bring those behind them to book.
