Deacon Chinedu Ikenga, a maritime business operator is conferred the Omenosa 1 of Ndoni Kingdom

A known maritime sector business operator, Deacon Chinedu Ikenga, has been conferred with the tittle of Omenosa 1 of Ndoni Kingdom, Rivers State, by His Royal Majesty, Ijoma Emmanuel Okwuchukwu Samuel, FNIM, the Ogbaenyi 1, Awoh of Ndoni and Paramount Ruler of Ndoni District in appreciation of his kind spiritedness and generosity impacting lives wherever he finds himself, his home town and community, Ndoni is not exception.

It was a historic event as it coincided with the four days Ndoni annual cultural festival, the people of Ndoni unanimously chose to honor him with the conferment of Omenosa 1 of Ndoni Kingdom.

The conferment reaffirmed the community’s tradition of honoring merit, service, philanthropy and enduring commitment to community development of which Ikenga has demonstrated so far. The revered tittle was bestowed on him by Ogbaenyi 1, Awoh of Ndoni And Paramount Ruler of Ndoni District, Omenosa 1, meaning one who gives to the people” in recognition and appreciation of his many contributions to the advancement, unity and positive image in Ndoni Kingdom.

By this conferment Chief Chinedu Ikenga, the Omenosa 1 of Ndoni Kingdom has been admitted into the famous holders in Ndoni Kingdom and by extension wherever he finds himself thereby assuming additional responsibility in the governance, peace-making and preservation of Ndoni Kingdom customs and traditions.

What made the event unique, historical and symbolic is that it was the first conferment celebration of the incumbent King who took over the throne of his ancestors since his coronation last year and it is the King himself that chose the tittle name to be giving to deacon Ikenga.
