Fine Girl Jesus exhibits her uncommon love and care for widows and orphans

By Chinedu Oguh, Port Harcourt

Fine Girl Jesus, the founder of Jesus Orphanage Home on 20 Kailo Estate, School Road, Elelenwo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, an orphan herself, her story is that of a woman who despite challenges was determined to make a statement about the capabilities of female child.

She is a role model to women who do not have confidence in rising to the top.  To men who have misgivings about women’s competence, she is a symbol of conviction.  Her story is that of uncommon achiever and uncommon dreamer.  She dares to believe in a doubting world; she laughs in a weeping world; she runs in a slow world and braves the odds in a quitting world.  These stand her out in the new world.

She spoke to Tentacle during empowerment programme she organized to bring succor to the widows and the less privileged.  The woman who is always at the best of whatever she does said she is an orphan who never knew the comforting hands of a natural mother, said she did menial jobs in early days of her life and raised money to train herself to university level.

Fine Girl Jesus whose love for widows and orphans has never been in doubt has used her God-given talent and resources for the care of the needy, widows, elderly and orphans.

It is in line with her feeling that she embarked on various projects such as God’s Wives Foundation which cater for widows.  Through the foundation many women especially widows who used to bow their faces in rejection and dejection are now taking their places in history.  According to her, God is awakening the Esthers, Deborahs, Sarahs and the Dorcas and they will not rest until they have reached all the nooks and crannies of the earth.

Apart from widows, Prophetess Fine Girl Jesus is a highly passionate philanthropist whose heart bleeds over the plight of the less privileged in the society.  With the little funds at her disposal, she has left nothing unturned to see that the children of the indigent in the society take their place among other children in acquiring modern education and useful skills.  Through her Educational Foundation, she has brought succor to many by paying their school fees and meeting their other pressing needs.

Visiting hospitals and seeking help for those in dire need is a favourite pastime for this delectable and amiable woman of gold adored by the young and the old as well as the rich and poor for her infectious humility coupled with her relentless and selfless efforts in promoting the welfare of the less-privileged.

Asked how she developed her humanitarian spirit, the soft-spoken Fine Girl Jesus who is Nigeria’s version of the incomparable “mother Theresa” who is being regarded as priceless and invaluable asset among women folk said: “I developed the spirit of rendering help to the needy far back as I cannot remember”.

According to her, “widows and orphans are after my heart.  No sacrifice is too much for me to put smiles on their faces”.  Since the inception of her Humanitarian Foundation, her love for Widows and Orphans have never been in doubt.  There is no programme she attends without giving gift items to widows and orphans.  “Since we came on board, the burden of the sick, the needy, the troubled and orphans has remained our major concern and by the special grace of God, we have affected lives in one way or the other. It is in the same line of feeling that we called up churches to embark on various projects aimed at giving indigent students and orphans scholarships and training so as to catch them young and bring them up in the way of the Lord”.

The amazon of peculiar charisma who has touched hearts, given hope to the downcast and help to the needy ever since she took the bold step, has never looked back, rather she has constantly maintained a steady progress to her new found love.

Ask if she has no regret doing what she is doing now, she replied with smile “oh no, I have no regret. I mean, I wouldn’t have done anything else and I wouldn’t have been happy doing anything apart from what I’m doing presently”.

Popularly known as the Mummy of Revival Fire Ministries, Prophetess Fine Girl Jesus is believed to have been sent by God to liberate men and the less privileged from satanic captivity by the power of God as she has been helpful not only to members, but to the brethren within and outside the Ministry in times of crises, trials and needs.

There are also provisions of medical treatment in different hospitals around and outside Port Harcourt to any level not just the members of the church but outsiders who need help too.

Her sadness, she disclosed, is that the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider and wider. To this end, she calls for social rehabilitation on the part of the government, organization and well to do individual in the society,

“We need accurate statistics of people who are roaming the street jobless, state by state: with this, government can create job agency in partnership with private concerns where employment is provided for their daily needs.  We need hotlines and job placement offices all over the state which should have linkages with private organizations in securing jobs for unemployed.  We need to open more factories and industries to absorb different school leavers she said.

A golden fish, they say, has no hiding place, the glaring impact made on the lives of the down-trodden by Prophetess Fine Girl Jesus could not escape the attention of reputable and well-meaning organizations. They have demonstrated their heart-felt satisfaction publicly by honouring her with many merit awards.
