Candidate of the Accord Party for Orlu Constituency in Imo State outlines his vision and plans ahead of the 2027 general elections

As the 2027 political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general election, the debate over effective representation is taking centre stage in Orlu, Orsu, Oru-East Federal Constituency of Imo State.
The Accord Party Candidate for the constituency, Hon. Chibuzor Edwin Okolie says his ambition is built around accountability, transparency, courage, people centred leadership and stronger representation at the National Assembly.
Over the years, Okolie has distinguished himself beyond politics. He has built a reputation in public policy, democratic governance and humanitarian services.
Tested and trusted, Chibuzor Edwin Okolie is a dedicated professional, community leader and public servant with a strong commitment to people-focused development. He promised effective representation if elected as a member of National Assembly by ensuring that they will be beneficiaries of the dividends of democracy which had eluded them for so long and also remind them that through his selfless efforts and with his personal resources, several people of his constituency had benefited immensely from his philanthropic gestures without government support.
As the 2027 political conversation develops, constituents presented with different candidates, parties and policies positions, the Accord Candidate urged voters to look beyond personalities and party affiliations. But the question that should be asked is, what is the candidate’s vision for the constituency? Which issues will he be pursued at the National Assembly? How will the constituency be carried along?
The Port Harcourt based entrepreneur said that he is a business leader with a track record of impact, active in community development and youth empowerment, experience in management strategy and problem-solving and committed to service, collaboration and sustainable growth.
He further said that the National Assembly should not be viewed simply as a platform for personal advancement, but as an institution where laws are made, Hon. Chibuzor Edwin Okolie national policies are debated and executive actions are subjected to legislative oversight.
His stated position is that a representative should be prepared to raise issues affecting his people and participate actively in national debates. He also argued that public office comes with responsibility and that elected representatives should remain accountable to the people they serve.

He emphasized that good roads, clean water and basic infrastructures are not privileges but necessities every community deserves. He assured residents that the era of neglect must come to an end and pledged rebuilding communities that have suffered years of abandonment.
For him, a new Orlu/Orsu/Oru-East Federal Constituency is possible based on his intimidating credentials as a rare philanthropist, entrepreneur and good governance advocate. He said that he will place emphasis on young people, women, farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs, students and professionals. He argues that their experience should be reflected in discussions about development and public policy.
